Booking with AfricXplore

Questions about how our booking process works.

Choose the service you need from our Bookings menu, such as Flights, Hotels, Activities or Vehicles. Enter your travel details and search the available options. Select the option you want, review the details and proceed through the booking process.

Yes. AfricXplore is designed to help you build your journey in one place. Depending on the destination, you can combine flights, accommodation, activities and vehicle hire into your travel plans.

An account is recommended because it allows you to keep track of your bookings, travel plans and account information. Some booking services may also require you to be logged in before completing a reservation.

Changes depend on the service provider and the fare or booking conditions. Some bookings can be modified while others may be non-refundable or non-changeable. Always check the conditions shown before confirming your booking.
FLIGHTS

Flights

Common questions about finding and booking flights.

Flight availability depends on the airlines, routes and travel date selected. Try changing your date, checking nearby airports or searching for a connecting itinerary. If you still cannot find a suitable option, contact us and we can help investigate alternatives.

Flight prices and availability can change. Where supported, AfricXplore performs a price and availability check before the booking is confirmed. The final amount is the amount presented at the confirmation stage.

Baggage allowances vary by airline, route and fare type. Always check the baggage information displayed with your selected flight before completing your booking.

Yes. Where supported by the airline and route, you can search for one-way flights as well as return journeys.

Yes. You can enter the required number of adults, children and infants when searching for supported flights. Passenger names and details must match the travel documents used for the journey.
HOTELS

Hotels & Accommodation

Everything you need to know about accommodation bookings.

Go to Bookings → Hotels, enter your destination, check-in date, check-out date, number of guests and rooms, then select Search Hotels. Available accommodation will be displayed for you to compare.

Hotel pricing depends on the property and room selected. The search results indicate whether the displayed price is per room, per night or another applicable pricing basis. Always review the final booking summary before confirming.

Check-in and check-out times vary between properties. The hotel's details page should display the applicable times. If you need early check-in or late check-out, contact the property to confirm availability.

Yes. Hotel bookings can be made separately. You do not need to purchase a flight through AfricXplore before booking accommodation.

Meal inclusions are shown where the provider supplies that information. Always check the room and rate details before booking if breakfast or other meals are important to your trip.
ACTIVITIES & EXPERIENCES

Activities & Experiences

Safaris, cruises, attractions, concerts, tours and unforgettable experiences.

Depending on the destination, AfricXplore can offer experiences such as boat cruises, safaris, guided tours, cultural experiences, attraction tickets, outdoor adventures, events and concerts.

Advance booking is recommended for popular experiences, especially during weekends, school holidays and peak tourist seasons. Some activities have limited capacity.

Yes, where the activity provider supports group bookings. Capacity, age restrictions and group pricing may vary by experience.

Weather-related cancellations are handled according to the activity provider's cancellation policy. Depending on the provider, you may receive a rescheduled date, credit or refund.
VEHICLES

Vehicle Hire

Questions about renting cars and transport for your journey.

Vehicle requirements vary by rental provider. You may need a valid driver's licence, identification document, payment card and, in some cases, an international driving permit.

One-way rentals may be available depending on the rental provider and locations. An additional one-way fee may apply.

Insurance coverage depends on the rental provider and selected rate. Review the vehicle's included coverage, exclusions and excess before confirming your booking.

Some destinations offer vehicles suitable for self-drive travel and safari routes. Always check the vehicle type, permitted roads and rental conditions before travelling into wildlife areas.
PAYMENTS

Payments & Pricing

Questions about prices, currencies and paying for your bookings.

Available currencies depend on the booking provider and payment method. Prices may be displayed in currencies such as ZAR, USD or other supported currencies.

Travel prices can change because of availability, demand, provider updates, exchange-rate changes or changes to the selected booking conditions. A search result is not necessarily a price guarantee until the booking is confirmed.

Once a booking has been successfully confirmed, a booking reference and confirmation details should be provided. Keep your booking reference available when contacting AfricXplore or the service provider.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation depends on the conditions of the booking. Some rates allow free cancellation while others are partially refundable or non-refundable. Check the cancellation policy attached to your booking.

Refund processing times depend on the provider and payment method. After a refund has been approved, your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time.

Airline cancellations are handled according to the airline's applicable policy. Depending on the circumstances, you may be offered a rebooking, alternative flight or refund. AfricXplore can assist with the applicable booking process.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Passports, Visas & Travel Requirements

International travel normally requires a valid passport or other accepted travel document. Requirements vary depending on your nationality and destination.

Visa requirements and services depend on the destination and the services AfricXplore offers for that journey. Travellers remain responsible for ensuring that they meet the entry requirements of their destination.

Many countries require passports to have several months of validity remaining after entry. Requirements vary by destination and nationality, so check the official immigration requirements for your journey before travelling.
